Nancy Clark was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where she attended
Portland public schools; Ocrley Green and Jefferson High School.
she was recognized as having talent in art in Elementary school and sent
to special classes. These classes did not continue in high school.
After high school she enrolled at Portland State University majoring
in architecture. after 21/2 years in this program life's circumstances
made her able to continue. she worked for two quarters and transferred
to Oregon State University where she graduated with a bachelor of Arts
in Elementary Education.
Nancy taught primary grades for six years and then stayed home to raise
her own children and work with her husband in their Geotechnical Exploration
business.
Now that her son and daughter have graduated from collage and are pursuing
their own careers Nancy is returning to Art. Her latest work has
been direct stone carving.
